Highlights from the 2024 Better Business Summit

Share

We spoke about The Better Business Network Summit being one to look out for - and, as was the case last year - it certainly didn’t fail to deliver.

Attending two days out of the jam-packed, 3-day extravaganza, team Hattrick has been busy catching up with faces old and new, and attending several engaging talks surrounding the overarching topic of business sustainability.

BBN Summit

People, Planet, PintAmongst these was Doughnut Economics Action Lab’s Erinch Sahan’s engaging and educational workshop on how businesses need to think differently to drive deep transformative action. Another highlight came from the Founder of Don't Cry Wolf creative agency, John Brown, who shared his hilarious, yet humbling approach to the thought-provoking question, ‘are we too poor to be green?’.

Of course, we can’t forget about our own Malin Cunningham’s panellist appearance, as she shared her thoughts on whether ‘we should all stop reading the news’ alongside TheBusinessDesk.com’s editor, Michael Taylor, Manchester Mill journalist, Daniel Timms, and moderator, the legendary John Robb.

The answer was - of course - a resounding no. However, it presented a brilliant opportunity to discuss the role of journalists and PR/marketers and their responsibility to tell their stories with integrity and credibility.

Finally, an honourable mention from the Summit goes out to Small 99's Adam Bastock and Krystal's Simon Blackler who received well-deserved recognition for their now global and growing People, Planet, Pint meet-ups. Because who doesn’t want to join a thriving community that cares just as much about the Earth as they do a good beverage?

We’d like to thank the entire BBN team, and of course their infectiously positive Founder, Hannah Cox, for organising such a brilliant networking event.

Looking forward to the next one!
