How to support Carbon Literacy Action Day

Non-profit, The Carbon Literacy Project, is behind the annual initiative, inviting Certified organisations, like Hattrick, to deliver their training and be part of an exciting global movement designed to drive more carbon reducing action on the ground.

Last year some 500 delegates took part and it is hoped many more hundreds - if not thousands - will rise to the challenge in 2022.

Hattrick’s course will run over two half days, culminating on the first working day of COP. It is open to any ASBP member operating in a sales, marketing or related role and is the first programme of its kind.

It addresses the pressure communicators are under to stand-by company sustainability claims, while satisfying wider stakeholder concerns and gives them the knowledge to make

sense of the science, jargon and misinformation leading to unintentional greenwash.

This is a great opportunity for businesses at the forefront of sustainability to support their sales and marketing teams in becoming more confident carbon communicators.

We have several other courses running until the end of the year, so there is still time to get clearer on the big issues and how to authentically address them before tackling 2023 plans.

All attendees who complete the course will be certified ‘Carbon Literate’. They will also have benefitted from an opportunity to learn, collaborate and network with peers in an open and interactive environment.

Everyone comes away with a plan for how to talk about their organisation’s environmental ambitions and achievements in a transparent and compelling way.
